Lunch & Learn: Mobilizing Women’s Rights in Bangladesh

Thanks to the generosity of the Manitoba Government Matching Grant Program (MGMGP), MCIC was able to help fund this project in 2019-20 and through this work, women are supported to take collective action on issues such as violence against women, access to services and participation in governance, resulting in concrete improvements in women’s lives.

Speaker Bio:

David Bruer lived and worked in Guatemala for 8 years before returning to Canada in 2002 to work with Inter Pares on the Latin America program. Starting in 2007 he shifted to work with partners in Asia, in Bangladesh, India and the Philippines. With an academic background in environmental science he has approached social justice issues from many perspectives over the years.
