MCIC would love to help you bring global issues into your classroom. Below are several resources we already offer to teachers throughout Manitoba. Feel free to contact us with any other requests or ideas you may have. Email pe@mcic.ca or call us at (204) 987-6420.

  • Generating Momentum for Our World Conferences for Middle Years and High School students. See the Generating Momentum website for more information.
  • Global Students, Global Citizens newsletter. A quarterly newsletter on Global Issues. Click here to subscribe.
  • “Are You More Concerned About a Better World than a 7th Grader?” Do-It-Yourself Kit. This is a game that teaches students about global issues and the Millennium Development Goals. It can be played in the classroom or with the whole school.
  • Move Your World Theatre Program - find information about our next tour.
  • Classroom Workshops — on a request basis, MCIC staff can arrange to do interactive workshops at the classroom level. We currently offer workshops on fair trade, child labour, water and landmine issues. There is a suggested donation of $50 for these workshops. We may also be available to do customized workshops upon request. For more information or to make arrangements, please fill out and send us the Workshop Booking Form or contact us at (204) 987 6420 or youth@mcic.ca.
