    The Credit 2007 - 2010 project will focus on microfinance services to the poor and marginalized in Cambodia. The project ensures that these individuals will have the opportunity to develop their livelihoods and experience full and productive lives.

    The Microfinance Development Impact project offers its partner groups opportunities for microfinance development, and training in governance, board and staff development and management of human and financial resources.

  • Partnering for Microfinance Development & Impact II

    Fund: Development Fund | Country: Burundi | Amount: $15,000 | Funded in 2011/2012

    Partnering for Microfinance Development & Impact II is supporting a local faith-based NGO in expanding its Savings for Life program by training and organizing 1,000 village groups of the very poor to accumulate small amounts of savings, pool these resources and then provide micro-loans to each other for income generating activities.

  • Shigikirana Savings for Life

    Fund: Development Fund | Country: Burundi | Amount: $13,552 | Funded in 2012/2013

    Shigikirana Savings for Life will support Dutabarane, a local NGO, to expand their Shigikirana Savings for Life program, organizing and training 1,300 community-based village savings groups of the very poor (23,400 people) to accumulate very small amounts of savings, pool these resources and provide micro-loans to each other for income generating activities to improve their livelihoods. All members will be provided with savings services and an estimated 50% or more will access loans.

  • Shigikirana Savings for Life: Saving Money and Families

    Fund: Development Fund | Country: Burundi | Amount: $12179 | Funded in 2013-14

    Through Dutabarane, their local NGO partner, WRC will expand the Shigikirana Savings for Life [SSFL] program by organizing and training 1,300 community-based village groups (23,400 members) to accumulate savings, pool resources and provide micro-loans to each other for income-generating activities to improve their livelihoods. All members are provided with savings services and an estimated 50% or more will access loans.

  • Ebola Awareness and Sensitization

    Fund: Relief and Rehabilitation Fund | Country: Liberia | Amount: $57,500 | Funded in 2014-15

    The project is a partnership with the Association of Evangelicals of Liberia (AEL). It seeks to raise awareness and distribute basic sanitation equipment to 15 Liberian communities in Zota District, Liberia at risk of contracting Ebola. The project is targeting 300 households as direct beneficiaries (144 male, 156 female-headed households) and 1,958 indirect beneficiaries (876 male, 1,082 female).

  • Shigikirana Savings for Life

    Fund: Development Fund | Country: Burundi | Amount: $14,469 | Funded in 2014-15

    The project seeks to contribute to improved livelihoods for a target of 23,400 community group members through pooled resources for micro loans and income-generating activities. This will be achieved through organizing and training 1,300 community based village groups to accumulate savings. MCIC funding will support operating costs for training.
