    Fund: Development Fund | Country: Uganda | Amount: $45,000 | Funded in 2009/2010

    In Support of Peace Building Work, this project will build capacity for Ugandan victims of conflict. The project is part of a larger program that provides holistic non-violence and conflict transformation through training and mediation in Uganda and in other conflict regions.

  • Research & Extension Activity Partnership (REAP)

    Fund: Development Fund | Country: Bangladesh | Amount: $120,000 | Funded in 2010/2011

    The MCC Research & Extension Activity Partnership (REAP) will increase local food production through agricultural extension work and strengthened coordination of local partner groups. A key component is training in environmentally-friendly agricultural technologies.

  • Food Security & Rural Livelihoods: Agriculture, Water and Income Diversification

    Fund: Development Fund | Country: Ethiopia | Amount: $120,000 | Funded in 2011/2012

    The Food Security & Rural Livelihoods: Agriculture, Water and Income Diversification project works to increase the availability of food and income in vulnerable communities. Strategies will include developing water collection, conservation and irrigation infrastructure, and training small-scale farmers and their community organizations in sustainable agricultural techniques.

  • Research & Extension Activity Partners

    Fund: Development Fund | Country: Bangladesh | Amount: $120,000 | Funded in 2012/2013

    The Research & Extension Activity Partners project’s aim is to develop peaceful communities by enhancing food security, increasing understanding of primary healthcare concepts and improving relational skills in the community.

  • Boricha Food Security Project

    Fund: Development Fund | Country: Ethiopia | Amount: $120000 | Funded in 2013-14

    This project will improve the food security situation in Boricha district through agricultural development, environmental conservation, income diversification and increased community education. The most vulnerable households, especially women and youth, will benefit most.

  • Food and Agricultural Assistance in Sasha and Mubimbi IDP Camps

    Fund: Development Fund | Country: Congo (DR) | Amount: $120,000 | Funded in 2014-15

    The project seeks to provide food, seeds, tools and agricultural training to 3,084 people (514 families) living in Shasha (218 households) and Mubimbi (296 households) IDP camps in DRC chosen due to their comparable high levels of need. MCIC funds will be used toward the procurement of food essentials and capital goods.

  • Nutrition, Education and Income Generation for Families with Disabled Children in Bulawayo

    Fund: Theme Fund | Country: Zimbabwe | Amount: $18,000 | Funded in 2014-15

    The project seeks to improve the well being of fifty children with disabilities by providing 590 family members with access to nutrition, education, livelihood development opportunities as well as start-up capital for income generating activities.

  • Strengthening Maternal, Newborn and Child Health

    Fund: Development Fund | Country: Afghanistan | Amount: $130,000 | Funded in 2018-2019

    This project will increase consumption of nutritious foods and supplements by mothers, pregnant women, newborns and children under five; improve use of essential health services by mothers, pregnant women, newborns and children under five; and reduce the vulnerability of mothers and children to water related diseases.
