  • Bihar Kosi Flood Relief Project

    Fund: Relief and Rehabilitation Fund | Country: India | Amount: $10,000 | Funded in 2008/2009

    This project will reduce the suffering of the people affected by the floods in the Madhepura and Saharsa district of Bihar by providing families with non-food materials such as sleeping mats, hygiene kits, blankets, and Clothing.

    This project was part of $50,000 received from the Government of Manitoba, designated specifically to respond to flooding in the Bihar region of India.

  • Building Local Capacity in Participatory Project Design & Implementation

    Fund: Theme Fund | Country: Tanzania | Amount: $17,718 | Funded in 2010/2011

    Building Local Capacity in Participatory Project Design & Implementation is the intent of CRWRC’s project in Tanzania. Rural communities will be transformed due to enhanced ability to identify, design and implement effective development projects, overcoming poverty and dependency, and improving the livelihoods of over 60,000 targeted community members.

  • Improving Food Security & Natural Resource Conservation

    Fund: Development Fund | Country: Honduras | Amount: $12,740 | Funded in 2010/2011

    The Improving Food Security & Natural Resource Conservation project will work with 150 rural households, promoting sustainable food production and conservation of the natural environment through raising awareness in local communities of environmental issues.

  • Building Local Capacity in Participatory Organization & Community Leadership for Transforming Commun

    Fund: Theme Fund | Country: Tanzania | Amount: $7,926 | Funded in 2011/2012

    CRWRC continues its work by Building Local Capacity in Participatory Organization & Community Leadership for Transforming Communities within its Tanzanian partner organization and its target communities. More effective decision-making processes will improve development projects and poverty alleviation efforts.

  • Immediate Relief To Beneficiaries Affected By The Typhoon

    Fund: Relief and Rehabilitation Fund | Country: Philippines | Amount: $27,000 | Funded in 2011/2012

    CRWRC is working with ADRA Philippines to deliver immediate relief to beneficiaries affected by the typhoon. This will be done via a cash transfer project, giving those in receipt flexibility and empowerment as they will be able to purchase items that meet their greatest needs in the wake of the disaster.

  • Improving Food Security & Natural Resource Conservation

    Fund: Development Fund | Country: Honduras | Amount: $10,000 | Funded in 2011/2012

    CRWRC will be Improving Food Security & Natural Resource Conservation in 3 regions of the department of Olancho, Honduras. It also raises awareness in local communities of environmental issues and supports initiatives in natural resource conservation, such as tree nurseries, soil fertility restoration, and crop & water management.

  • Community Transformation through Youth Economic Empowerment

    Fund: Theme Fund | Country: Nigeria | Amount: $15,000 | Funded in 2012/2013

    Community Transformation through Youth Economic Empowerment will involve 210 male and female youth between the ages of 14 and 25 in skills training, apprenticeships and regular savings in order to improve their income earning opportunities and their ability to manage profit making enterprises.

  • Empowerment of People Living with Disabilities

    Fund: Theme Fund | Country: Nigeria | Amount: $18,000 | Funded in 2014-15

    The project seeks to improve the livelihoods of 180 polio survivors and other marginalized people with disabilities (60% Female / 40% Male) in north central Nigeria by providing mobile aids, enrollment support for school aged beneficiaries, vocational training, self help empowerment and advocacy for the rights of people living with disabilities.

  • Liberia Ebola Response

    Fund: Relief and Rehabilitation Fund | Country: Liberia | Amount: $67,500 | Funded in 2014-15

    This project is in collaboration with faithbased medical facilities under Christian Health Association of Liberia (CHAL) to provide medicines and medical supplies against Ebola for affected and at-risk clients. The project aims to assist 75,000 residents from 45 CHAL member institutions / catchment communities.
