Manitoba’s Evergreen School Division has passed a resolution to ‘Go Fair Trade’. This commitment means the division will support the concept of fair trade and consider the purchase of fair trade products for its schools where possible. These options include: fair trade food products for staff rooms, special events and home economics classes; fair trade clothing and sports balls for physical education classes and extracurricular sports; a variety of fair trade products to be sold in school fundraisers. Evergreen School Division is based in Gimli, Manitoba but also has schools in Winnipeg Beach, Riverton and Arborg.
