Posted November 5th 2014

The Government of Manitoba is reinforcing its support to combat the spread of the Ebola Virus epidemic in West Africa. It has granted an additional $150,000 to the Manitoba Council for International Cooperation (MCIC) to ensure that the funding is directed toward meeting the most urgent and immediate needs of those most affected. The funds are in addition to $100,000 (already distributed) that Premier Greg Selinger pledged on September 16, 2014 bringing the total funding provided for the Ebola Crisis to CDN $250,000. MCIC distributes the money to its member agencies working in the area through Relief and Rehabilitation Fund. Read original news release here.
