Manitoba Contributes $100,000 for Flood Relief in Philippines Posted September 29th 2009
Premier Gary Doer offered his condolences on Tuesday, September 29 to the families of those who have lost their lives as a result of the devastating typhoon that battered the Philippines on Saturday and pledged $100,000 in support of the relief effort. The money will be administered by the Manitoba Council for International Cooperation (MCIC).
“Our thoughts are with those who lost family and friends in this devastating typhoon,” said Doer. “I am pleased to be able to offer support on behalf of the Province of Manitoba in this time of great need.”
