Presentation on Typhoon Ketsana Aftermath

Bishops Eliezer Pascua and Mariano Inong will make the long trek to Manitoba on November 17 to relate their firsthand experiences with flood relief in the Philippines. As representatives of the United Church of Christ in the Philippines (UCCP), Pascua and Inong have been directly involved with implementing the flood relief projects funded through Manitoba Council for International Cooperation (MCIC) by the Government of Manitoba. The United Church of Canada has invited the Bishops to Manitoba to provide an update on the aftermath and meet with those who have helped provide relief. (read more)

Money from Manitoba Helps Typhoon Victims

Manitobans Trick-or-Treat in Reverse for Fair Trade

Director Jonathan Walls Visits Winnipeg

Winnipeg’s seventh annual Global Justice Film Festival will begin November 6 with a man who believes in the universal power of music and its ability to inspire peace.
Jonathan Walls, co-director of the documentary Playing for change: Peace Through Music, will speak at the Winnipeg Art Gallery at the showing of his groundbreaking documentary. (read more)
