Students “Go Fair Trade”

As Manitoba gets ready to celebrate International Development Week (February 5-11, 2012), the Manitoba Council for International Cooperation is bringing its annual Generating Momentum for Our World: Go Fair Trade Middle Years Conference to Minnedosa on Wednesday, February 1. Fifty-one students from nine schools in the Beautiful Plains, Park West, Pine Creek and Rolling River school divisions will be getting together at the Minnedosa Community Conference Centre to learn about the benefits of Fair Trade for the producers in our world. Students “Go Fair Trade”

As last year’s WE Day Event in Winnipeg demonstrates, students in Manitoba are increasingly taking action as global citizens, and getting involved with international development issues, such as Fair Trade. The Manitoba Council for International Cooperation is bringing its annual Generating Momentum for Our World: Go Fair Trade Middle Years Conference to Winnipeg on Wednesday, January 18, with a second date on January 19, added due to high demand. Sixty-four students from ten schools in the Hanover, Louis Riel, Pembina Trails, Seine River, St James and Winnipeg 1 school divisions will be getting together at the Glenwood Community Centre to learn about the benefits of Fair Trade for the producers in our world. Students “Go Fair Trade”

As last week’s WE Day Event in Winnipeg demonstrates, students in Manitoba are increasingly taking action as global citizens, and getting involved with international development issues, such as Fair Trade. The Manitoba Council for International Cooperation is bringing its annual Generating Momentum for Our World: Go Fair Trade Middle Years Conference to Morden on Wednesday, November 30. Forty-four students from six schools in the Prairie Rose, Hanover, Borderland, Prairie Spirit, Garden Valley and Western school divisions will be getting together at the Morden Community Centre to learn about the benefits of Fair Trade for the producers in our world. Students Make Their Voice Heard

The Interlake School Division, in collaboration with the Manitoba Council for International Cooperation, is hosting the Generating Momentum for Our World: Student Voice Workshop in Stonewall on Wednesday, November 9. Seventy-one students from Warren Collegiate, Stonewall Collegiate and Teulon Collegiate will be getting together at the Oak Hammock Marsh Centre to learn how they can make their schools and communities more inclusive though active citizenship. Eastman Students “Go Fair Trade”

As more Fair Trade products are available throughout the province, the Manitoba Council for International Cooperation is kicking off its annual Generating Momentum for Our World: Go Fair Trade Middle Years Conference in Beausejour on Wednesday, November 2. Sixty-one students from ten schools in the Hanover, Seine River, Sunrise and Whiteshell school divisions will be getting together at the Sun Gro Centre to learn about the benefits of Fair Trade for the producers in our world.
