The theme for the 25th International Development Week (IDW) 2015 is We Are Making A Difference, and Manitobans certainly are! The Manitoba Council for International Cooperation (MCIC) has produced five video profiles of innovative Manitobans who are contributing their time and effort in the areas of international development and social justice issues to make a difference in our world.
Learn more about what Manitobans are doing to: improve Maternal Newborn Child Health (MNCH), fight against Ebola, use music to provide comfort in conflict scarred societies, and help communities gain access to clean and safe places to go to the bathroom.
You can view these profiles below. Visitors who view these videos will be redirected to enter a contest to win Fair Trade chocolate for a year (a value of $260).
For 25 years, IDW has taken place during the first full week of February. This year, it will take place from February 2-8, 2015. It is proclaimed by Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada and is a great opportunity to explore how Canada and Canadians are making a difference around the world!
